CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE DI ILLUSTRAZIONE
Ia Edizione - TERANGA 2014

Ramatou, Istituto per la condivisione dell’arte, organizzatore del festival internazionale di arte TERANGA, che si svolge a Škrbina, vicino Komen, nel cuore del Carso, in Slovenia, indice il concorso internazionale di illustrazione rivolto ad artisti e studenti d’arte (accademie, scuole, licei e istituti artistici).

Il festival internazionale di arte TERANGA si fonda sulla ricchezza della contaminazione artistica e culturale. 

L’arte è il ponte tra il quotidiano gioco balordo della vita .... e il volo spirituale in mondi sconosciuti. Teranga, che in lingua senegalese wolof significa ospitalità, ha come concetto fondante l’essere in mezzo a mondi diversi, che continuamente si contaminano e si intrecciano: il sentirsi ‘in- between’, tra differenti culture, lingue, ma anche tra differenti visioni e percezioni di noi stessi e della realtà ….. per conoscere e accettare l’altro … il ‘diverso’ ... perché tutti siamo inevitabilmente anche ‘l’altro’. tutti siamo ‘diversi’.


1. Modalità di partecipazionePossono partecipare al concorso artisti e studenti d’arte di tutto il mondo e senza alcun limite di età. Ogni partecipante deve presentare 2 opere inedite, non premiate o segnalate in altri concorsi. Sono ammesse anche opere fotografiche.

2 . Specifiche tecniche delle illustrazioniLa tecnica di esecuzione è libera.
L’opera deve essere di formato rettangolare verticale, deve avere dimensioni non inferiori a 20x30 centimetri e non superiori a 30x40 centimetri.

3. Tema del concorso
IN-BETWEENl’essere e sentirsi in mezzo a mondi diversi, che continuamente si contaminano e intrecciano, il sentirsi ‘between’, tra differenti culture, lingue, ma anche tra differenti visioni e percezioni di noi stessi ... per conoscere e accettare l’altro, il diverso, lo ‘straniero’ che c’è in noi ... perché tutti siamo inevitabilmente anche ‘l’altro’. tutti siamo ‘diversi’.

4. Modalità di invio delle opere
Per partecipare al concorso, gli autori devono:
a. Compilare l’apposito modulo di iscrizione, sul blog di Teranga - http://terangakras.blogspot.com/ e sulla pagina FBhttps://www.facebook.com/terangakras
b. Inviare le opere in originale per posta (per la tecnica digitale e/o fotografia inviare le stampe delle opere ad alta risoluzione) insieme al modulo d’iscrizione compilato e firmato, e alla ricevuta del versamento della quota d’iscrizione, al seguente indirizzo:

c. inviare per posta elettronica a terangakras@gmail.com, una breve bio e la descrizione delle opere, specificando nell’oggetto TERANGA CONTEST 2014, e indicamdo nel testo il proprio nome, cognome, età e indirizzo di residenza.

5. Scadenza
Le opere devono pervenire tassativamente entro lunedì 16 giugno 2014. 
Le opere inviate saranno accettate solo se pervenute entro e non oltre tale data.

6. Quota di partecipazione
La quota di partecipazione è di 15 euro e comprende le spese organizzazione e di allestimento della mostra.

Il versamento della quota può essere effettuato:

7. Selezione delle opere e dei vincitoriLa giuria internazionale selezionerà, a suo insindacabile giudizio, 20 artisti, i cui lavori verranno esposti in mostra durante il festival di arte Teranga, dal 12 al 20 luglio 2014. Tra i 20 artisti selezionati, la giuria premierà tre artisti e un giovane (premio speciale giovani).

8. Premi
La giuria assegnerà i seguenti premi:

Primo premio: 
L’artista prescelto illustrerà (con regolare contratto) il calendario 2015, pubblicato e distribuito da Ramatou, e gli verrà corrisposto l’onorario di 1000 euro (al netto delle ritenute fiscali) + mostra personale.
Il calendario verrà presentato e promosso appositamente, con eventi volti a risaltarne la qualità artistica e l’autore, verso la fine di ottobre 2014.

Secondo premio:
pubblicazione (con regolare contratto) di un albo illustrato in forma di e-book, con riserva di pubblicazione cartacea + mostra personale. 

Terzo premio:
partecipazione ad un workshop a scelta, tra quelli proposti nell’ambito del festival Teranga 2015 + mostra personale

Premio speciale giovani:(riservato a giovani e studenti fino a 25 anni)
mostra personale + 200 euro (al netto delle ritenute fiscali)

10. Premiazione e mostra delle illustrazioni
Dal 12 al 20 luglio 2014 sarà allestita la mostra «Between» che raccoglierà le opere selezionate e le opere vincitrici. Durante l’inaugurazione della mostra, domenica 13 luglio alle ore 18, verranno resi noti i nomi dei vincitori. Gli artisti vincitori si impegnano ad onorare il contratto, che per i primi premi due prevede la consegna dei lavori indicativamente per fine settembre. 

11. Diritti sulle opere
Gli autori, partecipando al concorso, concedono il diritto non esclusivo di pubblicazione delle opere anche su altre pubblicazioni di Ramatou, e in rete, nonché la riproduzione su qualsiasi supporto e dimensione per i fini promozionali di Ramatou e del concorso. Ramatou si impegna a citare sempre il legittimo autore. 
I diritti sull’opera rimangono di proprietà dei rispettivi autori. 
Le opere degli artisti premiati restano di proprietà di Ramatou e andranno a costituire un archivio/mostra permanente.
La spese di restituzione delle opere sono a carico degli autori. A seconda del paese, verranno comunicati i costi. Ramatou si avvale dei servizi delle Poste Slovene.

MEDNARODNI NATECAJ ILUSTRACIJE - 1 izvedba | TERANGA 2014

Mednarodni natečaj ilustracije | 1. izvedba
Ramatou, Zavod za mreženje umetnosti, ponosno najavlja 1. mednarodni natečaj ilustracije, odprt tako za uveljavljene umetnike kot tudi za študente umetnosti, ki se bo odvil v okviru Festivala TERANGA 2014.

Mednarodni festival umetnosti TERANGA temelji na širini in bogastvu umetniškega in kulturnega prepletanja. Dogaja se v srcu Krasa, v majhni vasici Škrbina. 
(V senegalskem jeziku Wolof ‘Teranga’ pomeni gostoljubje)

Vodilna tema festivala je VMES - «In-between«
Umetnost je vedno most med norostjo vsakodnevne igre življenja in … letenjem v duhovne neznane svetove. Svetove, ki se mešajo, prepletajo, okužijo drug drugega in ustvarjajo vzdušje VMES »in-between«, Med različnimi kulturami, jeziki, vendar tudi med različnimi pogledi in dojemanji nas samih.... Ta občutek VMES »in-between« nam širi obzorja… na tak način lahko prepoznamo in sprejemamo različne od nas, drugega…ker je vsak od nas neizogibno kdaj ‘drugi’.

1. Pogoji za sodelovanjeSodeluje lahko katerikoli umetnik ali študent umetnosti, s katerekoli države sveta. Ni starostne omejitve. Vsak sodelujoč predstavi 2 deli. Dela, ki so že bila predstavljena na drugih natečajih ali že nagrajena, NE bodo sprejeta. Sprejemamo tudi fotografska dela.

2 . Uporabljene tehnikeNimamo omejitve glede uporabljene tehnike za prijavljena dela. 
Delo mora biti pravokotne oblike, pokončno, ne sme biti manjše od 20x30cm in ne večje od 30x40cm. 

3. Tema natečaja
VMES - »in-BETWEEN« 
Biti razpet med različnimi svetovi, ki se nenehoma mešajo, prepletajo, okužujejo drug drugega in ustvarjajo vzdušje VMES »in-between«, …med različnimi kulturami, jeziki, vendar tudi med različnimi pogledi in dojemanji nas samih. Ta občutek VMES »in-between« nam razširi obzorja in na tak način lahko prepoznamo in sprejemamo drugačnosti, drugega…ker je vsak od nas včasih neizogibno ‘drugi’.

4. Pravila za odpošiljanje delPrijavitelj mora izpolniti pristopni obrazec. 
Prijavitelj mora s poštno pošiljko poslati obe svoji deli (vključno z digitalno in/ali fotografijo del v dobri resoluciji), skupaj z izpolnjenim, podpisanim pristopnim obrazcem ter potrdilom o vplačilu vpisnine na naslov:

5. Rok za oddajo
Ponedeljek, 16. junij 2014. Vsa dela morajo na naš naslov prispeti najkasneje do 16. junija 2014.

7. Izbor del in zmagovalcevOdločitev strokovne komisije bo dokončna in nanjo ne bo možna pritožba. Komisija bo izbrala 20 umetnikov, katerih dela bodo razstavljena v času trajanja festivala TERANGA 2014, od 12. do 20. julija. 
Med izbranimi umetniki bo komisija izbrala 3 nagrajence, ki jim bo podelila nagrade, prav tako bo nagrajen en umetnik iz kategorije študentov. 

8. Nagrade
Prva nagrada:Izbrani umetnik dobi v podpis pogodbo za ilustriranje koledarja TERANGA, ki ga bo izdal in tržil Zavod Ramatou. Koledar bo predstavljen na posebnem promocijskem dogodku konec oktobra 2014. 
Nagrajenec bo prejel honorar v višini 1.000€, njegova dela se predstavi na priložnostni razstavi na festivalu TERANGA 2015. 

Druga nagrada:Izbrani umetnik prejme pogodbo za ilustriranje slikanice, ki bo sprva izdana kot e-knjiga, čeprav si bo organizator prizadeval pridobiti možnost tudi za tiskano verzijo le-te. Nagrajenec in njegova dela se predstavijo na priložnostni razstavi v okviru festivala TERANGA 2015.

Tretja nagrada:Izbrani umetnik prejme udeležbo na katerikoli delavnici po svoji izbiri v okviru festivala TERANGA 2015, njegova dela se predstavi na priložnostni razstavi na istem festivalu. 

Posebna nagrada za mlade umetnike: (za študente umetnosti in mlade umetnike do 25. leta) 
Izbrani umetnik prejme denarno nagrado v višini 200€ in njegova dela se predstavijo na priložnostni razstavi v okviru festivala TERANGA 2015.

10. Podelitev nagrad in razstava del Od 12. do 20. julija bo v Škrbini na ogled razstava VMES – »In-Between«, kjer bo predstavljenih vseh 20 izbranih umetnikov in njihovih del. Nagrajenci bodo razglašeni na odprtju razstave, v nedeljo, 13. julija 2014 ob 18.00. 

Nagrajeni umetniki so dolžni izpolniti zahteve podpisane pogodbe. 
Dela, ki se nanašajo na pogodbene obveznosti, morajo biti oddana konec septembra oz. v začetku oktobra. 

11. Pravice in licenčnineSodelujoči umetniki se odpovejo svojim avtorskim pravicam v korist organizatorja za objave njihovega dela na spletu ali v tiskani obliki, za namene promocije in objav, ki se nanašajo na sam dogodek. Prav tako se odpovejo avtorskim pravicam v primeru, če se kopija njihovih del uporabi za promocijske namene natečaja in dogodka Teranga. 
Licenčnine so v vsakem primeru izključna last in pravica avtorja.
Nagrajena dela postanejo last Zavoda Ramatou ter bodo del stalne razstave oz. zbirke. 
Ostala dela bodo vrnjena zgolj na zahtevo avtorja do konca januarja 2015.
Zavod Ramatou bo sodelujoča dela pošiljal preko storitev Pošte Slovenije na stroške avtorja.

INTERNATIONAL ILLUSTRATION CONTEST - 1st edition 

Ramatou, Institute for the art networking, is pleased to announce an international competition of illustration, open to both artists and art students, in TERANGA 2014 context.

The International Art Festival TERANGA is based on the wealth of artistic and cultural contamination.  It takes place in Skrbina, in the heart of the Kras region, Slovenia. 

(In the Senegalese language of Wolof 'Teranga' means 'hospitality')

The festival's underlining theme is 'In-between'

The art is always a bridge between the everyday foolish game of life and … the spiritual flight into unknown worlds. Worlds which constantly mingle, interweave, contaminate each other and create the feeling of being ‘in-between’, between different cultures, languages, but also between different visions and perceptions of ourselves ..... This feeling of ‘in-between’ opens our minds ... and in this way we can know and accept the different from us, the other ... because we are all inevitably ‘the other’.

1. Enrolment conditions

Any artist and art student from anywhere in the world can enrol. There is no age limit. Every candidate is allowed to submit 2 new works. Prize-winning works or works previously mentioned for merit will NOT be accepted. Photographic works are also allowed.

2 . Specific techniques used

There are no limits to execution techniques. 

Any work must be rectangular, and and portrait (vertical), not smaller than 20x30 centimetres and not bigger than 30x40 centimetres.

3. Theme of the contest

in-BETWEEN

Being among different worlds, which constantly mingle, interweave and contaminate each other and create the feeling of being ‘between’, between different cultures, languages, but also between different visions and perceptions of ourselves ..... This feeling of ‘between’ opens our mind and in this way we can know and accept the different from us, the stranger, the other ... because we are all inevitably ‘the other’.

4. Rules concerning the dispatch of works

Candidates must complete the enrolment form.

Candidates must send their work by post (including digital and /or photographic work - good prints) together with the form, which must be completed, signed and accompanied the festival's subscription fee to the following address:

7. Selection of works and winners

The jury will select, by an unappealable decision, 20 artists whose works will be exhibited during the festival of art Teranga, from 12 to 20 July 2014.

Among the 20 artists selected, the jury will award 3 prizes for the best three artists and 1 prize for the best student.

8. Prizes

first prize:

The chosen artist will illustrate (with a regular contract) the TERANGA calendar 2015, which will be published and distributed by Ramatou. 
The artist will be paid the fee of 1000 Euros + exhibition. 
The calendar will be presented and promoted at the end of October, with special events for promoting

second prize:

the second chosen artist will illustrate (with a regular contract) a picture book, which will be published first as e-book, while the organisation will try to print a paper publication as well. 
+ exhibition

third prize:

the third chosen artist will partecipate in a workshop of his choice, from among those proposed in the context of the festival Teranga 2015 + exhibition

special prize for young artists:

(for students and young artists up to 25 years)

an exhibition of works plus 200 euros

10. Prize-winning ceremony and exhibition of works

From July 12 to 20 there will be the exhibition ‘In-Between’, which will be composed of the selected and winning works. The winners will be announced during the inauguration of the exhibition, Sunday, July 13 at 6 pm. 

The winning artists are obliged to fulfil the contract. 

The terms of delivery of the work will be in late September, early October. 

11. Rights and royalties

The artists who take part in the contest must waive their publication rights in case of publication on line or on paper of their work, the organisation will consider useful to promote artists and events. They must also give up their rights if a copy of their works is put in a frame/structure for promotional purposes of the contest or of the TERANGA event.

It goes without saying that royalties go to the artists.

The winning works become property of Ramatou and will be part of archieve / permanent exhibition..

The other works will be returned by January 2015 to the owners upon request.

Ramatou will send the works using the Slovenian postal services. Shipping charges will be comunicated.
